STORY

A very brief synopsis of a very long love affair with hats..

I always loved hats, starting with my school hats; red corduroy school beret, Green velour felt and straw boater. Dressing up box aside, at every chance I wore a hat., and after studying Furniture design went on to work for Marina Killery and then set up my own label, called Jojo Hats, now Jojo Hats London.

My millinery has  over the years, featured in: Vogue, Harpers & Queen, Tatler, Hello, You, The Telegraph, Rutland Living, Stamford Living amongst many others. Be worn at Royal weddings, Royal garden partied, Melbourne Cup, Kentucky Derby, The Arc, Royal Ascot, and countless weddings. I have made hats for the Late Princess Diana and many celebrities, High Sheriffs, theatre and festivals.

Skilled in all traditional techniques of millinery, I have also experimented with new materials and methods to develop my own signature style, always evolving at keeping a core ideal that a hat should always be beautiful, elegant, bold and encapsulate the personality of the wearer.

Working from a variety of studios around the country wherever my life took me, I have returned to my hometown of Stamford, with great plans , slightly thwarted  by the horrific Cv-19... so I built a website.. which is a work in progress and I will add all sorts of useful and available information to a blog page .. still under construction! For me its easier to make a couture hat than build a website! Subscribe for an update and be the first to know....  Jojo X X
